Dr Ngoi Sing Shang had been in private practice for more than 27 years. Prior to starting a Private practice at the Gleneagles Hospital and Farrer Park Hospital, Dr Ngoi has held several posts as Medical Officer, Senior Tutor, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Consultant Surgeon at both the Singapore General Hospital and the National University Hospital, Singapore.
After he graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1981, he was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) in 1985, Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and completed the Master of Medicine (Surgery) Singapore in 1986.
Dr Ngoi’s clinical interests include laparoscopic and colorectal Surgery, and is well versed in general surgery particularly gastrectomy, hemicolectomy, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair and adhesiolysis. He also has interests in both diagnostic and interventional endoscopy and is skilled in performing ERCP (Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography).
He has contributed to multiple papers in peer reviewed journals and co-written some books in general surgery.
