Asst. Prof. Piyanun Wangkulangkul, M.D., Ph.D., is an expert in minimally invasive and robotic surgery at the Department of Surgery, Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. She specializes in complex hernia and abdominal wall repair, including robotic groin hernia repair, utilizing advanced techniques such as robotic eTEP-TAR and botulinum toxin A injections for complex ventral hernias. Dr. Wangkulangkul earned her M.D. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at PSU and completed a fellowship in Bariatric and Gastroenterological Surgery in Japan. She is a faculty member of the Thai Hernia Society and the international association. Additionally, she serves as a Consultant and Robotic Proctor for the Da Vinci Xi system in Singapore. Her work in surgical innovation has been recognized internationally, and she actively contributes to research, publications, and surgeon education in abdominal wall surgery.
