I am Dr. Vimal, a dedicated professional with nearly two decades of experience as a consultant general surgeon specializing in laparoscopic surgery. Currently based at Gleneagles Medical Centre in Penang, Malaysia, my journey in medicine has been defined by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a profound commitment to advancing surgical techniques, particularly in the field of minimal access surgery. As the President of SELSMA (Southeast Asia Laparoscopic Surgery Medical Association) and Board of Governor of ELSA (Eastern Laparoscopic Surgery Association), I have had the privilege of leading initiatives that promote the art and science of laparoscopy throughout the region. My efforts have included organizing training workshops, providing hands-on instruction, and fostering collaboration among medical professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
