Professor Ishan De Zoysa MBBS MS FRCS FRCSEd DM is a Professor in Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine University of Colombo and a Consultant Surgeon at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka. He has over 20 years experience as a specialist surgeon. He has a special interest in gastrointestinal cancer surgery, bariatric surgery and laparoscopic hernia surgery. He has over 50 publications in peer reviewed journals and over 100 published abstracts. He has delivered 2 orations and has been an invited speaker at many local regional and international meetings. He has won many awards for publications and presentations. He is a past president of the Sri Lanka Society of Gastroenterology and the Faculty of Medicine Teachers Association. He is also the Director of the Clinical Program of the Colombo Medical School and the President Elect of the Colombo Medical School Alumni Association.
