Wayne Shih-Wei Huang has received his Medical Doctor and Master of Public Health degrees from Tulane University, USA, 2005, and PhD degree from Tokyo Women’s Medical University. He has practiced as a surgeon in Show Chwan Memorial Hospital since 2010, and specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery in digestive and hernia surgeries. He has led the IRCAD-Taiwan training center since 2018 and more than 10000 surgeons been trained around the world. He has worked with BE accelerator since 2018 to promote collaboration between physicians and MedTech startup. Since 2019, he started the first joint venture fund with hospital GP of BE Health Ventures. Since 2021, he has become the superintendent of Chang Bing Show Chwan Memorial Hospital.
