Sajid Malik United Kingdom

Dr. Sajid Malik graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore Pakistan in 2009 and Postgraduate Training and awarded Fellowship from College of Physicians and Surgeons in Pakistan, focusing on Upper GI & Reflux Physiology and abdominal wall reconstruction (AWR). He had also been awarded Fellowship from American College of Surgeons USA. Dr. Malik relocated to Singapore to complete his fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery under the guidance of the world-renowned Prof. Davide Lomanto. Currently, Dr. Malik is working in the Upper GI & AWR Department at Croydon University Hospital in London. He made significant contributions to abdominal wall reconstruction, introducing BTA use in AWR in Pakistan and utilizing the first-ever 3D mesh in the country. He has been recognized with awards for Best Oral Presentation and Travel Grants from the Korean Society of Endo-Lap Surgery and the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia Awards. He has pioneered a new hernia chapter in Pakistan along with MIS Center. This initiative aims to provide trainees in Pakistan with the opportunity to bridge gaps in surgical training related to AWR. Dr. Malik also serves as a Clinical and Educational Supervisor for Surgical Training in General Surgery at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. He holds various national and international roles, prominently Chair of the informatics & Communication Committee at the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (ELSA) in Singapore, and Executive Member for the ELSA Outreach Program and Country Coordinator for Pakistan for the Endo-SAARC Society in South Asia.
